Claire Royle
Supervisor

I started my career in the family business, moving on to university as a mature student. I worked in probation and social care. I became a childminder when my daughter was very young and then went on to work in a Preschool setting.

In 2015 I obtained my Early Years teaching certificate.

I have lived in Lymm for most of my life, attended Oughtrington Primary school and Lymm high school. My eldest child attended Oughtrington Preschool and my youngest attended Statham which is nearer to home.

I joined the team in 2007, embraced two Ofsted inspections and learnt everything I know about pastoral care from Mrs Phillips. I am extremely passionate about our Preschool, the ethos and the nurture is paramount to ensuring that each child is supported and encouraged to succeed through their learning journey.

Ashleigh Pidgeon
Keyperson

To watch and be a part of a child’s growth and development is something that inspires me, I like the smile on a child’s face when they achieve new goals and learn new things, and therefore it has always been my ambition to work with children. So being apart of a pre-school is a dream. Having a child young, I was unable to fulfil these goals and dreams due to childcare of my own, so now that my daughter is old enough, I am so grateful for the opportunity, and can’t wait to build my skills

I have attended a lot of training courses over the years including ECAT Lanuage and Development, Autism Awareness and many more to continue my Professional development.

I started at Oughtrington Preschool in September 2019 as a Key Worker and i'm excited to start my journey with them. I'm taking on the role of Behaviour Management and have some exciting ideas to try out with the children.

My aim as a Key Worker is to work closely alongside the children and move their learning forward in a safe, fun and exciting way creating memories for them to treasure.

Mollie Tassiker-Linley
Room Leader

Hello I am Mollie Tassiker-Linley. I support the Orange Group children.

I have recently completed my Level 2 qualification at Priestley College. I had the opportunity to do my work experience at Preschool in 2018 and also volunteered at Oughtrington Primary School. I decided that working with younger children suited my skills, as learning through play offers many ways to engage children and introduce learning in a creative way. I have a particular interest in supporting children with additional needs. My Grandmother used to work at Preschool some years ago and now fosters children with SEND where i assist with the daily care routines.

Deborah Watson
Supply

I have worked at the Preschool since April 2021.  I live in Lymm with my husband Ian and have two grown up sons Liam and Elliot.

I started my childcare career when my youngest son began nursery. I began as a Nursery Assistant at a small Montessori school then decided to develop my qualifications and completed my NVQ3.

We moved to Lymm and I worked at the same private day nursery for 21 years. Working with babies from 3-18 months.

Early Years to me is giving children security, confidence and independence ensuring the learning development is a safe and happy experience. Giving the children the confidence and framework required for a smooth transition to Primary school.

I joined as supply in January 2019 and took over the role of Bookkeeper in May 2022. Prior to this, I spent 2 years as the Preschool’s Committee Treasurer. Originally from Manchester, I have lived in Lymm since 2007 with my husband Paul. We have 3 children Grace, Noah and Seth, who all attended the Preschool. I enjoy caring for children and helping them develop the necessary skills ready for ‘big school’. I love being part of the team here at Oughtrington Pre-School.
